Week 1 Project: My Full Sail Story
Week 1 Project: My Full Sail Story
After seeing so many people make it in the industry only to end up broke and jobless. I really had to pray hard about making this type of investment into an industry. In the Entertainment Industry, now matter how talented you are or how hard you work, success is not guaranteed. I searched and search for schools but they were all too expensive and they did not offer enough of what I wanted. I finally decided to look into Full Sail because i had a few friends that had graduated. My friend that had already attended had a great experience!
To try things out, I first started with a certificate program. That went well and after that it just became very clear to me that media was something I needed to pursue. I am getting ready to graduate next month and I can say that after dropping out of school in the ninth grade, I feel a sense of accomplishment. It has taken me 20 years to get this degree and I know it will all be worth it!
Week 1 Project: My Full Sail Story
Before I started at Full Sail, I was the
Director of music at my local church. I spent 25 years doing music as an unpaid
hobby. I finally realized, that after so much time had passed, I really
needed to consider how I could turn my hobby into my passion. But how
would I do this? I didn't even know where to begin. Then it all made
since, why not start with my education? I had considered this before but
I was afraid of investing all of this money only to fail at entertainment as a
career.

WK1 Exploration: Start A Blog & Tell A Story
Before I started at Full Sail, I was doing Music Production for 25 years in church and in my community as an extensive hobby. I had always thought, what if I could get paid to do this? But then I wanted to turn it into a living, I just did not know how. Because of that I started to feel lost. Because of that, I needed to find a way from becoming a professional volunteer to a professional period. Because of that, I just figured well I have the experience so why not just get my credentials.
Until finally, after searching for art schools that were all expensive, I found Full Sail. Ever since I decided to pursue my passion in media, my path has been made clear.
